DC5V / DC12V external power adapter series
The DC5V / DC12V series provides external power options for compatible low-voltage equipment. The 5V versions are used with specified fiber media converters; 12V versions are selected for compatible industrial switches and optical transmission equipment. The adapter is separate from the powered device and connects through a DC output cable. Check the equipment input requirements when selecting 5V 1A, 12V 2A or another 5V version. The black external enclosure, AC input cable and DC barrel output support model-based assembly and spare-part records. Allow suitable space for the adapter and cable routing. A matching barrel connector alone is insufficient: confirm voltage, rated current, center polarity, inner and outer plug diameters and insertion length. Use the individual model ratings and approved equipment pairing list.

Separate external adapter
Position the adapter separately from the equipment and arrange the enclosure and cable routing for the available space.
DC barrel output
Connect through the DC barrel output cable. Even where the voltage matches, check current, polarity and connector dimensions.

Record the supplied adapter against its powered device and distinguish the 5V 1A, 5V 2A and 12V 2A versions.
